Club Members are what makes a club great - here are ours!
Argon is my 5th IGP dog so staring all over again after taking Quake (Canadian Nationals 2014 & FCI 2014) and Dukati (2021 CWDF Canadian Champion) 3 times, (qualified for 5) to world championships and Adler to CWDF nationals twice (High Tracking both years).
It also gives me great pleasure to help the members at Ottawa Working Dog as the training director since 2015.
I can't remember why I ever started in this sport as the dogs I had at the time would never have been able to do it...but I persevered and I am now training my second generation BHOT dog. Fredi's grandmother was my first real SchH dog and I titled her to an IPO3 along with an OTCh and a utility title in the US. It is amazing what you can accomplish with a great dog and the right people around you!
I breed GSD's under the kennel name von Tighe Haus.
My motto for the sport is "Train your dog like he'll live forever, love him like he'll die tomorrow". I certainly have ambitions but prefer to live in the moment and train where we are at without focussing too much on timelines for future goals. Of course like everyone else in the sport I am plotting world domination (insert hysterical laughter) but for now we will focus on not re-griping the f***ing dumbbell and not loosing our s**t in protection.
I look forward to continuing to train Munich towards his IGP3.
I am a Registered Veterinary Technician who has always wanted a working breed. When I finally decided on a Doberman I knew I wanted to start training in IGP. I got my Doberman in March of 2022 and have been a member of the club ever since. The OWDC is an awesome club full of members who are always there to help and support each other. I will be attempting a IGP 1 in 2024 with my dog Fury.
Still early in my IGP journey with my facebook dog who turned out better than most cases. Thankful for Thunder Bay Schutzhund Club for getting me into this sport in October 2021 and OWDC for welcoming me as new member in Summer 2022. I’m also a boy with sleeve that is looking to get bitten by other club dogs :)
I love participating in a variety of dog sports. I look forward to exploring tracking in IGP
I look forward to training Draco towards his BH in 2024.
A long time IGP enthusiast I have been fortunate to train with many top trainers and handlers. I am still a student of the sport always learning and trying to improve my handling.
What he likes the most: me and his ball; what i like the most: him and my coffee. What we have in common: the love of training in IGP. Looking forward to the next training session with OWDC and qualify for the next IGP level :)
The OWDC is a club filled with talented handlers! I will be continuing to enjoy my time with the team and working towards a BH in 2024
